With the Lechuza Windowsill planter almost any ledge can be transformed into a mini oasis. Whether it be the kitchen, living room, bathroom, or conference room table, this window box will provide you with green accents in those spots where room for large flowerpots isn't available. The robust surface and low weight of the Lechuza Windowsill allow for all kinds of interiorscaping designs. How many times has your favorite plant or flower withered away because of lack of water? The Lechuza Windowsill comes equipped with a sub-irrigation system making watering maintenance a breeze. Simply fill the two-liter water reservoir and allow it to provide optimal care for your plants. The smart water level indicator lets you know when the reservoir needs to be refilled. The Lechuza Windowsill container comes in an assortment of colors that are sure to match current decor or enhance new decorating plans.
How the Lechuza Self-Watering System works
Simplify plant maintenance with the included sub-irrigation system. Create a water reservoir in the bottom of the windowsill planter with the separator piece. Use the Lechuza PON to form a layer used to regulate water over the separator. Add another layer of high quality potting soil over the PON, add your planting, then continue to fill your pot with soil. Upon completion, you will need to top water your plant or flower as you normally would for the next twelve weeks. Note that you must also fill the water reservoir using the convenient supply shaft located on the inside of the planter's walls. This shaft is also ideal for adding liquid fertilizer. Once the plant's roots have grown deep enough to soak up the water from the reservoir below, the water level indicator will begin to fall. At this point your plant will be self-sufficient for up to twelve weeks.
